Fairfield Building Owners Can Go Green With C-PACE!
Commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) is an innovative solution that can finance energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements on all types of commercial properties including manufacturing facilities, offices, retail establishments, houses of worship, nonprofits and other buildings.
Like other project financing, C-PACE uses borrowed capital to pay for the upfront costs associated with clean energy improvements; however, the borrowed capital is repaid over time through a voluntary tax assessment as is done with sidewalk or sewer projects.
A growing number of Fairfield commercial properties have taken advantage of this program to perform energy efficiency upgrades, install solar energy systems or both. The C-PACE program has been expanded to include:
New construction energy projects
Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure; and
Resilience projects such as pervious pavement and storm proofing
