Fairfield Reissues Popular Town Map, Businesses Invited to Participate
The Fairfield Town Map & Guide is part of an ongoing tourism campaign.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Fairfield Director of Economic Development, Mark Barnhart, announced plans this week to update and re-issue the Fairfield Town Map & Guide. The initiative is part of the town's ongoing tourism campaign, and local businesses are invited to participate in this updated edition.
The Fairfield Map & Guide was first published in 2016. It has become a key component of the town’s tourism efforts, proving popular with both residents and visitors. The map features a hand-drawn, watercolor illustration of Fairfield, and provides an introduction to the community, including information on landmarks, cultural assets, recreational areas, business centers, and other points of interest.
"Fairfield is the quintessential New England town with a rich history, picturesque coastline and a vibrant downtown," Barnhart said in a statement. "There’s lots to see and do, and many places
to eat, making Fairfield a great place to visit, relax and unwind."
More than 50,000 maps will be printed this spring. Distribution will occur at more than 280 locations in the New York metro area. This distribution is scheduled right before the busy summer tourist season begins. Sponsoring businesses and organizations will receive copies of the map to distribute to their customers.
A limited number of advertisements are available in the Map & Guide. Ad sizes and prices vary, and commitments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The deadline for commitments is March 6. Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities should contact Marketing & Business Development Manager Mary Alice Limperopulos at 203-256-3120 or mlimperopulos@fairfieldct.org.
