Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: 2025 WBDC Catalyst Symposium
Fairfield, CT Community & Economic Development is proud to celebrate and support the incredible contributions of women entrepreneurs across Connecticut. On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) will host the inaugural Catalyst Symposium — a half-day event dedicated to sparking innovation, fostering empowerment, and accelerating entrepreneurial success.
A Morning of Connection and Opportunity
The Catalyst Symposium will bring together women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community partners for a morning of networking, inspiration, and action. Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Explore the WBDC Marketplace, featuring products and services from Connecticut women-owned businesses.
Participate in dynamic workshops designed to provide practical tools and strategies for starting, growing, and sustaining a small business.
Connect with peers and mentors, expanding their professional networks and building community ties.
The Highlight: WBDC Accelerate Pitch Competition
The symposium will culminate in a live pitch competition, where eight talented women entrepreneurs will share their business visions before an audience of peers and judges. At stake are four $25,000 WBDC Accelerate Grants—transformative funding to help launch and grow promising Connecticut ventures.
Why It Matters
Events like the Catalyst Symposium underscore Fairfield’s commitment to building a thriving and inclusive business ecosystem. By supporting women entrepreneurs, we’re not only strengthening individual businesses but also fostering innovation, job creation, and long-term economic growth for our entire region.
