Sacred Heart University Offers Business Support Through Interns, Projects & Analytics
Fairfield-area businesses have another strong local resource through Sacred Heart University’s Jack Welch College of Business & Technology. The university offers opportunities for organizations to connect with student interns, undergraduate and MBA project teams, and faculty-supported analytics resources.
One key opportunity is student internships. Sacred Heart University’s 2,000+ undergraduate business students complete a required 3-credit, 120-hour internship, with majors including accounting, finance, marketing, management, business analytics & AI, sport management, and more. Internships are available during fall, winter, spring, and summer semesters.
Local businesses can also work with students on practical business projects. Undergraduate senior projects typically run for 14 weeks during the fall and spring, while MBA capstone projects run for 12 weeks starting in January and April. These projects may focus on product line expansion, marketing campaigns, operations initiatives, technology integration, market expansion, competitive analysis, and business strategy.
In addition, Sacred Heart’s Center for Analytics collaborates with regional firms on data solutions, including needs assessments, dashboards, decision tools, workforce education, and predictive or prescriptive analytics.
For local organizations, these programs offer a meaningful way to access student talent, fresh thinking, and practical business support while helping students gain valuable real-world experience.
